RAVENSWOOD, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Firefighters from Ravenswood were among the first responders called to battle a fully involved structure fire on New Year’s Eve.
At 10:12 p.m. on December 31, Ravenswood’s Station 20 was dispatched to assist Ripley Station 30 and Southern Jackson Station 70 in responding to the fire.
Rescue 23 deployed with four personnel for manpower support, while Tanker 22 responded with two personnel to supply water.
Crews worked on the scene for approximately three hours before being released by command.
Additional agencies involved included Silverton Station 60, Jackson County EMS, AEP, and Consumer Gas.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident. Authorities have not yet disclosed the cause of the fire.
