ELKINS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Davis & Elkins College has announced that the college’s academic partnership with the Randolph County BOE (Board of Education) has been renewed, allowing for the continued opportunity for Randolph County high school students to partake in in-person learning at the Davis & Elkins campus.
Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs for Davis & Elkins, Dr. Brian W. Moudry says dual credit opportunities will be offered through the college at $75 per course.
“We are excited to launch this dual credit academic partnership for Randolph County high school students,” says Moudry. “Giving our local students the chance to come to our campus and engage with our outstanding faculty is a great opportunity for them and D&E as well. I am confident that their experience will be beneficial and enlightening, and we are excited to show them the high-quality education that we can offer at Davis & Elkins College.”
Davis & Elkins College President Chris A. Wood notes that the dual credit experience may provide participating students with an educational edge as they approach post-secondary education.
“D&E is proud to demonstrate our community commitment through this partnership with Randolph County [BOE] Schools to offer high school students a seat in our class, whether general education or upper level that is not available in their schools,” says Wood. “For many, the collegiate experience at this early age will prepare them for their matriculation into higher education and give them a head start due to the college credits they will earn in high school. I particularly wish to thank Dr. Shawn Dilly for his cooperation and eagerness to partner with Davis & Elkins College to benefit Randolph County Schools.”
Dual credit courses will be offered to students beginning in the Spring of 2026, with course and program options expected to be announced in the near future. Additional information on programs offered through Davis & Elkins College can be found at the Davis & Elkins website.
