BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Lake Stephens will be hosting a Patriotic Boat Parade which will take place on July 1, 2023, as well as the annual firework show set to be held on July 3, 2023.
Registrations is currently open for the boat parade, and those who are featured in the parade will have their launch fee waived for the day. The winner of the parade competition will receive a trophy and a Lake Stephens Gift Certificate.
Line up for the parade will take place on July 1, 2023, will be at 8:30 PM and the start time for the boat parade will be 9:00 PM. You can view the parade from the water, the overlook, dam, or marina areas.
The fireworks show will start on July 3, 2023, at 10:00 PM at Lake Stephens, Lake Stephens Road, Surveyor on Monday, July 3, 2023. Many locations at the Lake will be accessible for viewing such as the beach, the dam area and the water.
Vendors will be set up at both the beach area and the dam area for the fireworks show. The Beach at Lake Stephens will open on July 3rd at 2:00 PM and remain open until after the fireworks show. The lifeguards will clear the water only at the beach prior to the fireworks show. The Aqua Park and Splash Pad will be open from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM, which will allow for everyone to get to the beach or other location before the fireworks show begins.
There will be a live DJ on the beach and will play the radio broadcast from station WJLS 99.5, which will accompany the fireworks. The Concession Stand will be open this day as well as many different food and drink vendors. Beach vendors will include Little Jimmie’s Italian Ice, Francie’s Sweets, Chick-fil-A and merchandise vendors. The vendors that will be set up at the Dam include Aurora Ice and possibly other food vendors. Parking is free and regular beach, splash pad, and marina fees apply.
The pyrotechnics are provided by Premier Pyrotechnics, Inc. Special thanks to WJLS and Whitesville State Bank for sponsoring the show. These will be fun filled patriotic events for everyone.
