Dreama Kay Butler, 67, formerly of Princeton, WV, passed Thursday, April 11, 2024, in Columbus, GA. Born March 8, 1957, in Princeton, she was the daughter of the late Mary Magdeline Richardson Grose Combs and Billy Harold Grose.
Dreama was a 1975 graduate of Matoaka High School and a member of Princeton Church of God. She was a unit clerk at Princeton Community Hospital for 30 years and Princeton Family Healthcare for 5 years. She was also a Mary K consultant for 6 years.
She enjoyed watching Law & Order SVU and reading. Dreama loved spending time with her kids and grandkids, they were the light of her life. She especially loved going to their sporting events or watching them via live stream.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Nellie Richardson; and brother, Samuel Grose.
Dreama is survived by her daughter, Heather Ellis and husband Roger of Columbus, GA; son Justin Butler and fiancé Kristy Martinez of Princeton; grandchildren, Madison Ellis and fiancé Donald Wright, Cameron, and Zackery Ellis, all of Columbus, GA, Alyssa, Caden, and Cason Shrewsbury, all of Princeton; great grandson, Camden Wright; and sister, Kimberly Williams Tilley and husband Matt of Lenoir, NC.
In honoring Dreama’s wishes, she has been cremated. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Ron Richards officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 p.m. until the service hour Saturday at the funeral home.
