VALLEY BEND, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Tuesday motor vehicle accident in which a driver lost control of his vehicle resulted in the vehicle striking a power pole.
According to reports from Deputy L. Elbon of the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, authorities responded to a single vehicle motor vehicle accident in the Valley Bend area just before Kelly Surveying.
Upon arriving at the scene, Deputy Elbon identified the driver of the vehicle as Chris Spence of Slatey Fork. Spense stated that he was driving his GT300 when the passenger side of his car left the roadway.
The car was then pulled off the paved roadway entirely and struck a power pole down the passenger side of the vehicle. The car then spun into the grass for several hundred feet before finally coming to rest.
No injuries were reported from the accident, and emergency entities from Tygart Valley and Huttonsville-Mill Creek Fire Departments responded to the scene of the accident along with Randolph County EMS who also provided assistance on the scene.
