Fortnite Crew is a new way to gain items and in-game currency in the world of Fortnite. Fortnite crew is a subscription-based rewards system that grants crew members the battle pass, in-game currency, and exclusive skins and accessories. Players can already receive their loot this month by logging in.
The January Crew Pack features DC’s Green Arrow, another collab among many Fortnite skins. In this season, Fortnite players have been greeted by Master Chief from Halo and other characters from God of War, Star Wars, DC, Marvel, and The Walking Dead.
Fortnite fans seem split in their feelings on the new skin. Many players voiced that they’re tired of continuous collaborations of heroes or characters from other games, citing how Dead Pool is already in the game. Some are further frustrated because Master Chief was recently released, and Epic is asking players to pay again for a similarly themed skin. Many comment that the skin isn’t as inspired and include hilarious comments like “his beard looks like sharpie” or its resemblance to Eminem.
Despite this, some fans were eager to have received the Green Arrow skin, despite having canceled their subscription earlier this month. Players could be rewarded the skin as they are crew members until the next billing date; however, those who canceled will not get the v-bucks included as the currency is awarded only after the second subscription or one month after. At the same time, players on PlayStation, Samsung, and Nintendo Switch will have to wait another day before they can try out the new skin, per Fortnite’s tweet here. Such is the duality of Fortnite, I suppose.
