(LOOTPRESS) – Excessive Heat Warnings and Heat Advisories are in place today across portions of West Virginia due to high temps and humidity.
It will be another scorcher of a day across the Mountain State as the heat dome continues to build east, prompting concerns for those staying outdoors for extended periods.
The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued an Excessive Heat Warning for the following counties: Logan, Boone, Kanawha, Roane, Calhoun, Wirt, Ritchie, Wood, Jackson, Mason, Putnam, Lincoln, Wayne, and Cabell. Except for the Mountains, the rest of West Virginia are under a Heat Advisory.
Those under an Excessive Heat Warning can expect temperatures to feel up to 110 degrees.
Those under a Heat Advisory can expect temperatures to feel up to 104 degrees.
