BEAVER, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Investigators with the West Virginia State Fire Marshal’s Office seek to determine what caused a build-up of natural gas that resulted in a Sunday explosion and fire in Raleigh County.
The July 18th blast at Judy’s Lottery Parlor, 103 Beaver Plaza in Beaver, sent an adult female to Abell Huntington Hospital’s Burn Intensive Care Unit for treatment of resulting injuries.
With the investigation ongoing, there is no indication that foul play was involved at this time.

UPDATE: Roads are back open, businesses in Beaver plaza are allowed to open per fire command.
Please avoid the area of Judy’s near the post office as there is an ongoing investigation with the state fire marshal.
If any residents do detect any smells of gas or feel lightheadedness please vacate their premises and contact 911.

BEAVER, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Emergency crews are on the scene at Judy’s in Beaver.
According to Raleigh County Communications, a gas leak was reported, along with a structure fire.
Emergency officials are asking everyone to stay inside and cut everything off. Â The parking lot has been evacuated, and traffic is being rerouted.
