FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Fayette County residents who suffered property damage during the recent flooding and severe weather are being encouraged to report their losses through a damage survey being conducted by the West Virginia Emergency Management Division.
WVEMD is working with local emergency management officials, volunteers and community organizations to collect information about damage caused by the severe weather.
Residents can complete the online survey by scanning the QR code provided by WVEMD or visiting the state’s damage survey website.
Those submitting reports are asked to include their 911 address and photographs of the damage when applicable.
Residents who need assistance completing the survey can call 2-1-1 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. or contact Fayette County emergency management officials.
Officials stressed that completing the survey is not an application for financial assistance. The information is being collected to determine the overall impact of the disaster.
If financial assistance becomes available, Fayette County will be notified.
Residents are also encouraged to share the survey information with others in the county who suffered damage during the recent flooding.
