MARSHALL COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Former West Virginia State Senator Michael Maroney was arrested Tuesday morning on a Capias Warrant for an alleged bond violation.
According to authorities, the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office assisted the West Virginia State Police and the Glen Dale Police Department in executing the warrant at Maroney’s residence in Glen Dale.
The arrest took place at approximately 10:20 a.m. without incident.
Maroney was previously charged in August 2024 with indecent exposure while gambling and was later charged with driving under the influence in September 2024.
Maroney, a Republican, served in the West Virginia State Senate from 2017-2024.
