MOUNT HOPE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Four individuals, all from outside West Virginia, have been arrested on felony drug charges in the Mount Hope area.
According to Chief Deputy Shannon Morris with the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department, just before 3 AM on Monday, May 27, 2024, deputies were conducting routine traffic enforcement on US Rt 19 in the Mount Hope area.
Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a minor traffic infraction. While interacting with the driver, deputies could smell the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle.
A subsequent search of the vehicle yielded multiple bags containing large quantities of various pills and marijuana.
Deputies were able to seize 334 grams of Xanax pills, 174 grams of Adderall pills, and 80 grams of Oxycodone pills.
Corayma Daritza Colon, 25 of Palm Bay Florida, Edison Roberto Antonio, 25 of Palm Bay Florida, Amelia Celeste Garnica 22 of Buffalo New York, and Angel Joel Santiago Colon, 20 of Buffalo NY, are all charged with the felony offense of Possession With Intent to Deliver Narcotics and Felony Drug Conspiracy.
All individuals were transported to Southern Regional Jail to await further court proceedings.
