LOGAN, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A four-year-old drowned after a family gathering at Chief Logan Lodge in West Virginia.
On June 24, 2023, Trooper E. H. Bennett and members of the WVSP Logan Detachment responded to the report of an accidental drowning at the recreational pool located at the Chief Logan Lodge, 1000 Conference Center Dr, Chapmanville, WV 25508.
Investigation revealed the 4-year-old victim was at a family gathering at the Lodge’s pool, at which point she was discovered in the water, unconscious and unresponsive.
The victim was transported by ambulance to the Logan Regional Medical Center and pronounced deceased.
An autopsy will be conducted at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Charleston, WV.
This investigation remains active and ongoing.
