(LOOTPRESS) – Joycity is celebrating the 10th Anniversary of FreeStyle 2’s release in the west.
Released in 2014 for the western audience, FreeStyle 2: Street Basketball built upon the hit formula and style of the original and cemented its place as one of Joycity’s marquee sports titles allowing the FreeStyle brand to flourish internationally, across numerous platforms.
The 10th year Anniversary Joycity is hosting is a love letter to fans. The celebration kicks off with the Want U Festival. The festival is a mini fair where players can experience a myriad of in-game features. From mini games to event-themed missions, and expandable “booths” that will allow players to make the festival bigger, there’s a whole host of fun options to participate in! Players can collect special festival coins during the celebration and redeem them for prizes!
10th Anniversary exclusive clothing items and All Star series items will be among the prizes being offered. The festival will also offer players the chance to obtain the ‘No. 1’ title where it’ll grant +2 on all stats! Participating players can contribute together or compete against each other in a variety of Want U Festival booths to see who has the best record.
The 10th Anniversary will also offer the Want U Start-Up Dash. With this event, all participating players logging in will be given a variety of tasks to complete. Each category offers a list of prizes with each task, and those who complete all the tasks will be awarded a permanent ‘All Training Complete’ title granting +1 on all stats! To make all this more enticing, a new attendance event will be taking place allowing players to earn items for their character progression and a shot at the popular Festival Lumi!
Now on to the socials! Those players who follow our social communities can participate in even more 10th Anniversary festivities by leaving a congratulatory comment on the 10thAnniversary video to enter a raffle. The Discord community will also be given two special crossword puzzles to solve. All participants will receive prizes and those who participate will be automatically entered into a raffle for even better prizes! A fan-art contest will be taking place on the Discord community as well so please check out the website and the Discord community for complete details.
There are many events taking place both in and out of the game so be sure to participate in every one of them!
As a special ‘thank-you’ to the dedicated community that has made these last 10 years possible, players need to simply log into the game during the event and they’ll receive a special title. The titles will be based how long a player has been playing FreeStyle 2: Street Basketball. Each title and color will be unique to the year the player started the game! The longer you’ve played, the brighter the title!
