ORLANDO, FL (LOOTPRESS) – Over 700 miles south of the mountains of West Virginia sits the world’s largest McDonald’s, and also the only one to sell pizza, waffles, and pasta.
Located off of International Drive in Orlando, Florida, the world’s largest McDonald’s rightfully holds that title.
This location opened in 1976 and features a floor area of 19,000 square feet. Not only is it unique for its size, but its servings as well.
This location serves brick oven pizza, Belgian waffles, customized pasta dishes, omelettes, and additional items on the “Gourmet Bistro” menu, along with an expanded dessert menu like ice cream.
It has its traditional McDonald’s ordering area but also a separate area where pizza is made and served. A dessert counter has also been constructed within the store.
The unique food offerings can be ordered on the first floor while the fun can be had on the second floor. The second floor, which can be accessed by stairs or even an elevator, offers a 22-foot-tall PlayPlace and over 100 arcade games.
West Virginia once had something in common with this exact location. One West Virginia McDonald’s was also selling pizza in recent years, only one of three locations that was doing so.
The Spencer McDonald’s in Roane County was one of the last locations to stop selling McPizza alongside another McDonald’s in Pomeroy, Ohio. The item was taken off of the menu at both locations in 2017.
Now, as of March 2024, the world’s largest McDonald’s in Orlando is the only location that sells pizza.
The world’s largest McDonald’s is located at 6875 W Sand Lake Rd, Orlando, FL 32819-9349.
