CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Governor Patrick Morrisey has declared a State of Preparedness for all 55 counties in West Virginia in response to an impending winter storm and hazardous weather conditions.
The declaration will remain in effect from tonight, February 5, 2025, through February 7, 2025.
The National Weather Service has issued warnings of potential localized flooding and ice issues, particularly in the northern regions of the state, as stream levels rise and rain intensifies.

Governor Morrisey, along with the West Virginia Emergency Management Division (WVEMD), urges all residents to stay informed by monitoring local media reports and to follow any directives issued by emergency authorities.
West Virginians are advised to take precautions and remain vigilant as adverse weather conditions unfold.
