GREENBRIER COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Greenbrier County man is facing a domestic battery charge after an alleged altercation with his wife at a residence on ECF Drive early Saturday morning.
Deputy B.P. Walls of the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department responded to the domestic disturbance call at approximately 12:23 AM. While en route, dispatch reported that the alleged aggressor, identified as Freddie Candelario, had fled the scene in a Mazda RX-8.
Upon arrival, Deputy Walls was met outside the residence by a witness who described the incident involving his father. According to the witness, his father pushed his mother during an argument and then bit her left hand. He said he intervened to protect his mother, who had been pushed onto the porch. He also noted that Freddie Candelario appeared intoxicated at the time of the altercation.
The victim confirmed her son’s account of the incident. She showed the deputy the bite mark on her left hand and stated that she was pushed during the argument. Torres indicated her desire to file a Domestic Violence Protective Order (DVPO) against her husband. Her son contacted a local refugee center to begin the paperwork process.
Deputy Walls has filed for a warrant for Freddie Candelario’s arrest on a charge of domestic battery in violation of West Virginia State Code §61-2-28(a).
