ELKINS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – An inmate who escaped a work crew in West Virginia is still on the loose.
According to the city of Elkins, inmate Denver Bennett fled from a work crew at the Mountain State Forest Festival Building near Bluegrass Park in Elkins on Friday afternoon.
It was initially reported by city officials that the inmate fled from the work crew near Davis & Elkins (D&E) College, but later information emerged stating that the precise location was at the Mountain State Forest Festival Building, approximately a mile away from D&E.
City officials say that police are still searching for the inmate.
Officials ask that if you do see Denver Bennett, please call 911 immediately.
