BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – UPDATE 5:44 PM 3/18/24: Beckley Police say that a Raleigh County BOE employee was found dead in the parking lot of Beckley Elementary School on Monday.
Beckley Police say that the body was discovered by a coworker this afternoon.
Police say there was no danger to students or staff today.

BPD says that the Raleigh County Board of Education will be releasing a statement.

Sources tell LOOTPRESS that police in Beckley are currently investigating a possible shooting incident at Beckley Elementary.
Police tell LOOTPRESS that there is currently no danger or threat to anyone regarding the incident.
The Beckley Police Department (BPD) is currently handling the investigation.
LOOTPRESS has confirmed that Beckley Elementary was placed on a soft lockdown and that afternoon tutoring has been canceled.
