BOONVILLE, NC (LOOTPRESS) – A local bakery owner is asking the community for support as she works to keep her small business open while facing ongoing health challenges.
Christi, owner of The Sweet Shack Bakery, has launched a fundraiser with a goal of raising $1,000 to help cover the bakery’s rent and keep its doors open.
In a heartfelt message shared with supporters, Christi said asking for help has been one of the hardest things she’s ever had to do, but recent health issues have made it increasingly difficult to keep up financially while continuing to operate the bakery.
“The Sweet Shack Bakery has been so much more than a business,” she wrote. “It’s where I’ve poured my heart into every cake, cupcake, cookie, and Bundt cake. It’s where I’ve celebrated birthdays, weddings, baby showers, anniversaries, and so many of life’s special moments with all of you.”
According to Christi, the requested funds will be used to help pay the bakery’s rent, allowing her to continue serving customers and creating baked goods for the community.
To thank donors for their support, The Sweet Shack Bakery is offering appreciation gifts based on donation amounts:
- $25 – One free cupcake or cookie
- $50 – Half-dozen homemade cookies
- $100 – One dozen cupcakes or cookies
- $250 – One signature Sweet Shack Bundt cake
For those unable to contribute financially, Christi is also asking supporters to share the fundraiser with friends and family to help spread the word.
“I truly believe that kindness has a way of coming back around,” Christi said. “Thank you for believing in me, my dream, and The Sweet Shack Bakery. Your support, encouragement, and prayers mean more than words can ever express.”
