CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The U.S. Marshals Southern District of West Virginia CUFFED Task Force and the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team took Brandon Many Dixon, 25, into custody at approximately 6 PM.
Dixon was arrested in the 5000 block of Venable Avenue, in the Kanawha City area of Charleston. Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Detectives developed information that Dixon was in the Charleston Area.
According to U.S. Marshals, Dixon was considered to be “Armed and Dangerous”. Dixon was wanted for the July 30, 2022, shooting of two tourists from the United Kingdom (UK). The tourists were seriously wounded during the incident.
U.S. Marshal Michael Baylous stated, “The partnership between the CUFFED Task Force and the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office is invaluable. Having a highly trained SWAT team that can be called upon in a moment’s notice helps enhance CUFFED’s ability to quickly apprehend dangerous fugitives before they can do more harm to society.”
Dixon was arraigned by Kanawha County Magistrate and transported to the South Central Regional Jail.
