WEST VIRGINIA (LOOTPRESS) – Liquidation sales are underway at all Value City Furniture locations in West Virginia as the retailer prepares to permanently close its remaining stores, including its Huntington and Parkersburg locations.
The closures follow a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing by parent company American Signature Inc., which is based in Ohio and has operated in the furniture industry for nearly 80 years.
In a notice posted on its website, the company confirmed that as part of the outcome of its sale process, all Value City Furniture and American Signature Furniture retail stores will shut down permanently.
According to the company, store-closing liquidation sales began January 9, 2026, affecting 79 stores across 13 states. Customers are encouraged to shop remaining inventory while supplies last. The company noted that all sales during the liquidation period are final.
For West Virginia shoppers, the announcement marks the end of Value City Furniture’s presence in the state.
While the company has stated that select stores in other states may remain open temporarily to serve customers, all West Virginia locations are part of the permanent shutdown.
