According to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, on 11/25/23 Deputies received a call from Randolph E-911 in reference to a physical domestic incident that had just taken place in Whitmer.
Police then spoke with the female victim who stated that she and her boyfriend were involved in an argument that turned physical.
The victim further stated that she told the defendant that he needed to leave in which he refused and “just kept cussing and screaming in my face.”
She then advised that the defendant grabbed her by the hair of her head after following her into the kitchen.
The victim further stated that she was going to call the cops, in which he replied, “he told me if I was gonna put him in jail he would make it worth it”.
She then advised that the defendant “grabbed my throat and started choking me” and that she couldn’t try to get him off because she was holding her baby.
The victim then stated that the defendant was the father of the 6-month-old baby.
The victim then advised that she moved to the window when the defendant let go of her, and “he swung at me to punch me and almost hit the baby”. She further stated that he then approached her again, “slammed me against the wall and was choking me again”.
She then advised that she got away from him again, only for him to catch up to her and
“punch her in the back of the head twice”.
The victim then stated that after begging the defendant to leave, “he said the only person leaving would be me in a body bag, he also said every cop in Randolph County feared him and if I had him arrested, he would get out the same day and burn my house down”.
The victim further stated in her written sworn statement that this isn’t the first time he has abused her or threatened to take her life.
She ended her statement with “he also told me he was going to kill me today after getting his pocket knife”. The defendant was subsequently taken into custody without incident.
