BEAVER, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Monday morning burglary attempt has resulted in serious injuries to the owner of the targeted residence.
The Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office reports Monday afternoon that, on the morning of Monday, November 14, 2022, the department responded to a burglary in progress at 3rd St. in Beaver.
Upon their arrival on the scene, deputies had to force entry into the residence.
Once inside the home, deputies discovered the victim/homeowner, who was observed to have incurred serious lacerations to the neck and torso area reportedly caused by an edged weapon.
Reports indicate that the victim had interrupted the burglary in progress, and this was attacked by the suspect.
The suspect, identified as Charles Cox, was discovered under the house in a craw space by authorities.
Cox was arrested, taken into custody, and charged with Burglary, as well as Attempted Murder.
