CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – One man was arrested for attempting to steal over $3,000 of merchandise from a convenience store.
According to a criminal complaint, on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, Charleston Police apprehended 34-year-old Ryan Woods who was in the process of breaking and entering.
The breaking and entering incident occurred at the One Stop Shop on Capitol Street in Charleston.
Woods was found to be in possession of approximately $3,113 worth of products from inside the store.
This included an additional backpack filled with merchandise on the store counter.
Woods was seen on surveillance footage breaking the storefront window before entering the business and committing the thefts, according to the complaint.
He also threw a Zippo lighter display on the ground and broke it. The store owner told police it would cost approximately $2,600 to repair the property.
Woods was arrested and charged with Destruction of Property and Breaking and Entering. He is currently at South Central Regional Jail on a $3,000 bond.
