MILL CREEK, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man was arrested Wednesday for operating a motor vehicle with a license which had been previously been revoked for DUI.
According to reports from Deputy Pingley of the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, he had been working speed enforcement in the Mill Creek area Wednesday at the time of the arrest.
While parked on Adolph Road near the water plant, Pingley observed a Jeep driving through a residential stretch of road at 47mph as detected by radar.
This was nearly double the residential speed limit of 25mph in the area.
Once a traffic stop was conducted near the water plant on the vehicle, the driver was identified as Joshua Strawder.
Strawder advised Deputy Pingley that his license had been revoked for DUI, at which point Deputy Pingley contacted 911 to confirm the licensure status.
It was confirmed that Strawder’s license had indeed been revoked as of 7/15/2009 for an indefinite duration for aggravated DUI.
Though Strawder had no prior driving revoked DUI convictions, he advised that he still had an unresolved driving revoked case pending in magistrate court.
Strawder was arrested, charged with Driving Revoked DUI First Offense, and transported to Tygart Valley Regional Jail.
His vehicle was towed from the scene of the arrest.
