FAYETTEVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man is facing felony drug charges after police said officers found methamphetamine, cocaine and a digital scale during a traffic stop late Wednesday night.
According to the Fayetteville Police Department, officers conducted a traffic stop at about 10:58 p.m. on June 24 on North Court Street near Beckwith Road in Fayetteville.
During the investigation, officers allegedly recovered approximately 10 grams of methamphetamine, 3.5 grams of cocaine and a digital scale.
Police said the driver, Wayne W. Treadway, was arrested and charged with reckless driving and possession with intent to deliver.
Treadway was transported to Southern Regional Jail without incident, according to the department.
The arresting officer was Patrolman S.A. Gunnoe, with assistance from PFC J.P. Hannigan.
In a statement, the Fayetteville Police Department said the investigation “displays the continued commitment our Officers have for solving crime in our area.”
Police say defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
