STOLLINGS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – On Sunday, July 26, 2026, Troopers from the West Virginia State Police Logan Detachment responded to a residence on Statzer Drive in the Stollings area of Logan County in reference to a disturbance.
Upon arrival, Troopers made contact with a female victim who advised that she had initially gone to the residence to assist Arnold Gillman, 48, of Omar, with cleaning the home. The victim stated that she and Mr. Gillman began using illegal narcotics together, after which Mr. Gillman became aggressive and refused to allow her to leave the residence.
According to the victim, Mr. Gillman threatened her with both a knife and a firearm. She further reported that, during the incident, Mr. Gillman discharged a firearm, firing one round into an interior wall of the residence.
Mr. Gillman was taken into custody without incident and charged with Kidnapping, Use of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, Wanton Endangerment, Domestic Battery, Domestic Assault, Brandishing, Discharging a Firearm Within 500 Feet of a Residence, and Driving Under the Influence (DUI).
Mr. Gillman was transported to the Southwestern Regional Jail, where he is being held pending arraignment.
