DANVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Boone County man was taken into custody Friday evening after allegedly damaging property during a domestic disturbance in the Danville area.
According to the West Virginia State Police, Trooper R.K. Bowers responded to a 911 call around 8:38 p.m. on June 13 regarding a domestic incident at a residence located on Six Mile Road. Dispatchers reported that Samuel Haiber had become irate, destroyed property, and fled the scene on foot.
Upon arriving at the residence, Trooper Bowers spoke with the complainant, who stated that Haiber had broken two doors, shattered glass, and ripped the blades off a ceiling fan during the altercation. The trooper confirmed visible damage at the scene, including shattered glass from a back door and a split bedroom door hinge.
Around 8:50 p.m., Trooper Bowers located Haiber walking along Six Mile Road and detained him without incident. Upon returning to the residence, the officer discovered additional damage to the ceiling fan, noting that five blades had been broken off.
Haiber was placed under arrest and transported to the West Virginia State Police Madison Detachment for processing.
