RITCHIE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man faces Grand Larceny charges after having the theft of a chainsaw valued at over $1200 traced back to him.
According to reports from the Ritchie County Sheriff’s Office, a Husqvarna 585 Chainsaw valued at $1,269.99 was reported stolen on Monday, October 3, 2022.
An investigation by Lt. Cox of the Ritchie County Sheriff’s Office eventually led to the recovery of the chainsaw, and statements were taken from the individuals from which the piece of equipment was recovered.
It was revealed by these individuals that the chainsaw had been purchased from Michael Rinehart.
Surveillance footage placed Rinehart in the area during the time of the chainsaw’s disappearance, and Rinehart was arrested on Grand Larceny charges.
Rinehart is currently being held at North Central Regional Jail.
