MERCER COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Mercer County Board of Health is excited to name Mr. Roger Topping as the new Administrator of the Mercer County Health Department.
Roger has served as a member of the Board of Health for approximately two years and recently resigned his seat. He has over forty years of administration experience with many of those years in healthcare administration.
Listed below are Roger’s qualifications:
• Roger has twenty-eight years experience in healthcare administration.
– 1989-2017 Administrator, Welch Emergency Hospital and more recently as the administrator of Princeton Health Care Center.
• Serving as a consultant to Princeton Health Care Center from 2017 to current
• Former President of the West Virginia Healthcare Association.
• West Virginia Nursing Home Administrators Licensure Board Member
• Current Board Member of the Chuck Mathena Center.
• Current Board Member of the New River Community and Technical Center
• Volunteer at Tender Mercies Food Bank
• Princeton First United Methodist Church, Church Council Chairman, and Member of Finance, Staff Parish Relations, and a Choir Member.
• Past President, Princeton Rotary Club
Roger is married to Rebecca Kidwell and has three children, Holly, Chris, and Katie, as well as five grandchildren, Tyler, Grayson, Owen, Ben and Allie. Roger has been vested in the Mercer County Community for many years with countless volunteer hours logged. “The Board of Health is very appreciative that he has chosen to assume the administrator position.
