MERCER COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Mercer County jury has convicted a Princeton-area woman on two felony counts of incest following a two-day trial, according to Mercer County Prosecuting Attorney Brian K. Cochran.
Virginia Amelia Nester, 36, was found guilty on March 12, 2025, while being acquitted of two additional counts. Nester was originally indicted on four counts by the Mercer County Grand Jury.
Cochran stated that Nester engaged in a consensual incestuous relationship with her biological father, Teddy Billings.
The situation came to light after family members confronted Nester, leading her to falsely report to state police that her father had raped her.
However, investigators determined the relationship was consensual after further questioning.
Cochran praised the investigative work of the state police and the efforts of Assistant Prosecuting Attorney David Pfeifer in securing the conviction. Billings had previously pleaded guilty to incest with Nester.
Both Nester and Billings must register as sex offenders. Nester’s sentencing is scheduled for May 15, 2025, before Circuit Court Judge Mark Wills.
