SUMMERSVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A morning motorcycle accident involving a stationary trailer saw response from several departments on Sunday.
The Richwood Fire Department reports that, on Sunday, July 30, 2023, at approximately 8:15am, members of the Richwood Fire Department happened upon a motorcycle accident while en route to Summersville.
The accident is reported to have occurred just minutes prior to the arrival of department members.
The operator of the motorcycle purportedly incurred an equipment failure entering Old Mumsey’s Curve, causing the driver to lose control. At this point tge the bike fell annd began to skid, impacting a nearby stationary trailer.
The driver suffered only minor injuries, and was assessed by EMS who arrived at a later time.
The accident saw response from Richwood Fire Department Utility 18, Richwood Police Department Chief 300, and Jan-Care Ambulance Service Unit 27.
