Dubbed “Single Riders,” the app is tailored for fans of theme parks who are looking to find either romance or friendship with fellow enthusiasts. The idea was sparked by a personal experience shared by one of the app’s co-creators, a TikTok personality known as @JoetheBeardedNerd.
After being stood up on a date, he decided to spend the day at Walt Disney World — a common outing for many Orlando locals. But the solo trip turned into inspiration.
“That’s when it hit me — there should be a Disney dating app,” he shared in a video that’s now circulating across social media.
The concept behind Single Riders is simple: connect people who already share a love for magic, rides, and churros. The app will reportedly include options for both dating and making friends, opening the door for everything from fairy-tale romances to park-hopping pals.
Excitement is already building among the Disney community, especially among “Disney adults” who frequently visit the parks solo.
“I go to the parks alone and it would be AWESOME to have a feature that shows if other singles are at the parks at the same time,” one user, Robyn McGurgan, commented.
Developers say a beta version of Single Riders is expected to roll out later this year, with more features and park-specific tools planned for future updates.
