BEAVER, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Students have another opportunity to begin fall classes at New River Community and Technical College through Rolling Start Options, with courses beginning Monday, Sept. 28, 2026.
“Rolling Start Options at New River CTC give students the flexibility to begin taking college classes outside of the traditional August and January semester start dates,” said Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs Steve Lacek. “The course offerings allow students to complete the first semester of several programs, including Business, Criminal Justice, Education, and Social Services. Students can also complete prerequisite courses for the Practical Nursing and Associate Degree Nursing programs.”
Students can also take advantage of several general education courses offered fully online, via Zoom, or in a convenient hybrid format. Those planning to begin the Massage Therapy program in the spring can get a head start on their degree by completing elective courses through the Rolling Start Options—making it possible to make progress toward their program before the spring semester begins.
Registration for the fall 2026 Rolling Start Options is underway and will continue through Friday, Sept. 25.
