BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The New River Invitational basketball tournament will kick off off this week with three matchups scheduled for Tuesday evening.
The invitational tournament, first established in 2019, will take place at the Beckley-Raleigh County Convention Center and is set to continue into the weekend.
Things are set to get started at 5:00 PM Tuesday as the Richwood Lumberjacks take on the Liberty Raiders. This matchup will be followed by that of the Webster County Highlanders and Oak Hill Red Devils at 6:45 PM, with the Princeton Tigers and Shady Spring Tigers closing out the evening at 8:30 PM.
The tournament, presented by New, Taylor & Associates and New River Community and Technical College, will feature three games a night Tuesday-Thursday, with Friday and Saturday offering five and six matchups, respectively.
Tickets for the event are good for the entire day when purchased, and will run adults $7 while kids can gain admission for $5. Kids ages 5 and under will be offered free admission. Tickets can be purchased at the door of the event or online at the Beckley-Raleigh County Convention Center website
