OAK HILL, WV (LOOTPRESS) – An Oak Hill man is facing felony charges in Fayette County. Chief Deputy Shannon Morris provides the following information regarding this incident.
On November 24, 2023, Detectives with the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department were contacted by the Oak Hill Police Department of a stabbing victim who was at Plateau Medical Center after it was discovered the incident occurred in the Hilltop area.
Based on witness statements and evidence presented at the scene, detectives were able to determine that an altercation occurred between the victim and the suspect, resulting in the victim being stabbed. Detectives obtained warrants for the suspect, who was believed to have fled out of the area. The arrest warrants were forwarded to the United States Marshall Service C.U.F.F.E.D. task force to assist in the apprehension of the suspect.
On January 4, 2023, the suspect was apprehended in South Carolina by the USMS and extradited back to West Virginia.
Kentrell Goodman, 27, of Oak Hill, is charged with the felony offenses of Attempted Murder and Malicious Wounding. Goodman was arraigned by a Fayette County Magistrate and was given a $200,000 bond.
