FAYETTEVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – An Oak Hill man was sentenced in Fayette County Circuit Court this month to three-to-thirteen years in prison for crimes relating to the possession of prohibited substances with intent to deliver following investigations by the Oak Hill Police Department and Central West Virginia Regional Drug and Violent Crime Task Force.
According to Fayette County Prosecuting Attorney, Anthony Ciliberti, Jr., on May 10, 2022, an Oak Hill Police Department member conducted a traffic stop in the Main Street area of Oak Hill.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as Roger D. Ingram – 45 of Oak Hill, WV – revealed to the officer that he was in possession of controlled substances, leading to a subsequent search of the vehicle during which said substances were discovered.
On September 22, 2022, a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle in which Ingram was found to be a passenger. Law enforcement conducted a search of this vehicle, during which Ingram was once more found to be in possession of controlled substances.
Laboratory testing on the substances discovered revealed that Ingram had been in possession of over 15 grams of methamphetamine, approximately 1.5 grams of a methamphetamine, heroin, and fentanyl mixture, as well as a mixture of heroin and fentanyl.
On February 2, 2024, Roger D. Ingram was sentenced by Fayette County Circuit Court Judge Paul M. Blake, Jr. to two to ten years in prison for the felony offense of Possession of Fentanyl with intent to deliver, and one to three years in prison for the felony offense of Possession of Tramadol with Intent to Deliver.
The sentenced were ordered by Judge Blake to be served consecutively, and Ingram will be required to serve a minimum of three years in prison before potentially becoming eligible for parole.
