OCEANA, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Oceana Police make an arrest in connection to a man who died after being given drugs.
On Thursday, June 1, 2023, an arrest was made in connection with the death of Richard Lee Evans, 51.
This incident occurred Friday, May 25, 2023, in Oceana, W.Va. Officers with the Oceana Police Department arrested James Orville Adkins III, 46. After a short foot pursuit, Adkins was placed into custody.
Adkins is being charged with Drug Delivery Resulting in Death, Fleeing an Officer, and Obstructing an Officer. Wyoming County Magistrate Jeffrey Barlow arraigned Adkins.
Adkins is being held at Southern Regional Jail with a $250,000 bond.
