OCEANA, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Oceana Police Department arrested a man over the weekend on drug charges.
According to officers, Ian Trey Hatfield and another guy were seen leaving Lower Fords Trailer Park. When police made contact, both suspects acted nervous. Officers asked if they had anything illegal on them, and they both responded with no. They both agreed to empty their pockets, and that is when Hatfield advised he had used Suboxone earlier and had a loaded syringe with Suboxone in it.
Hatfield first gave the police a fake name, and once they arrived at the police station, he gave them his real name. He confessed that he didn’t want to get in trouble, so he life about his name.
Hatfield is charged with obstructing and possession of a controlled substance. He is being held in Southern Regional Jail under a 1,500 dollar cash-only bond.
