OAK HILL, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man is dead following an officer-involved shooting early Thursday morning in the Oak Hill area of Fayette County.
According to the Oak Hill Police Department, they responded to a 911 call around 5:00 a.m. on December 5, 2024. A woman reported she had been stabbed at a residence on Beech Avenue.
When officers arrived, they discovered a man inside the home armed with a shotgun.
Shots were fired during the encounter, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The woman, who sustained multiple stab wounds, was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
