RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Deputies with the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office responded to a disturbance call in the 3600 block of Harper Road on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, which led to the arrest of a local man.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies were dispatched to the area for a report of a disturbance involving a domestic incident.
Following their investigation, deputies arrested Matthew Hunt.
Hunt is charged with domestic battery, petit larceny, attempted petit larceny, second-degree robbery, and malicious or unlawful assault.
Sheriff Frank Priddy and Chief Deputy Frankie Shelton commended the deputies involved for their quick response and thorough investigation.
The sheriff’s office noted that all suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
