WASHINGTON, D.C. (LOOTPRESS) – More than 1 million Igloo rolling coolers sold across the U.S. are being recalled after reports of fingertip injuries, including amputations, according to a U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC)notice issued Thursday.
The recall involves the Igloo 90-quart Flip & Tow rolling coolers, which have a tow handle that can pinch users’ fingers, posing serious amputation and crushing hazards.
Injury Reports and Affected Products
The manufacturer, Igloo Products Corp., based in Katy, Texas, has received 12 reports of injuries, including amputations, bone fractures, and lacerations linked to the product.
The coolers were sold between January 2019 and January 2025 at major retailers, including Amazon, Costco, Target, Academy, and Dick’s Sporting Goods, for $80 to $140.
The recalled models feature a tow handle with “IGLOO” printed on the side and come in various colors. Consumers can check the list of nearly 50 affected model numbers on labels attached to the bottom of the coolers.

Anyone with the recalled cooler should stop using it immediately and contact Igloo for a free replacement handle.
