PRINCETON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – WVU Medicine Princeton Community Hospital (PCH) and WVU Medicine Children’s will host a community celebration and ribbon cutting ceremony to announce their affiliation partnership.
The event will be held on Wednesday, May 21 from 4 to 6 p.m. at PCH.
This family-friendly event will offer community members the opportunity to meet the staff who care for local children and learn more about the services now available close to home through this affiliation.

- Face painting
- Kid-style buffet dinner
- Live performance from the PikeView Marching Band
- A special appearance by Atlas, the WVU Medicine Children’s therapy dog
Through its affiliation with WVU Medicine Children’s, PCH will offer local families an enhanced level to high-quality pediatric care close to home. Patients will benefit from expanded services, including greater access to specialists and evidence-based care in coordination with one of the nation’s leading children’s hospitals.
Families will also gain the reassurance of knowing their child’s care team is supported by the expertise and resources of WVU Medicine Children’s, including opportunities for participation in clinical research, shared safety standards, and improved coordination of care.
