POINT PLEASANT, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Mason County man has entered a Kennedy Plea with regard to a felony strangulation offense.
According to the Mason County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, 44-year-old Jeffrey S. Ramsey issues the plea in the Circuit Court of Mason County.
Earlier in the year, Ramsey was indicted on Child Abuse Resulting in Injury and Strangulation charges. These charges allude to a December 2023 incident in which Ramsey is accused of having assaulted his 15-year-old stepson.
Ramsey will potentially face one-to-five years in prison should the court accept the Kennedy Plea. He will also be required to register with the Child Abuse and Neglect Database.
