RIPLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Students have returned to the classrooms and fall is in the air, signaling the coming arrival of homecoming festivities at learning institutions throughout the Mountain State.Â
The City of Ripley is one area for which preparations are being made for homecoming celebrations, which will include a parade for which the city will see some temporary changes in traffic flow.Â
As announced by the Ripley Police Department Thursday, South Church Street will be closed on Friday, September 16th for the city’s homecoming parade, which is scheduled to begin at 1:00pm.Â
The procession is set to begin at Ripley Middle School, travel through Ripley High School and out the back gate, making its way to Ripley Elementary School and down 2nd Avenue before turning left in front of City Hall to travel down Church Street and concluding at Gino’s.Â
