New Richmond – Wyoming East jumped on Liberty early, scoring six runs in the opening frame for a 9-0 win in New Richmond.
Miken Smyth earned the complete game shutout for the Warriors, scattering three hits across seven innings of work.
Shawn Mosley, Hayden Blankenship and Bryson Hunt drove in two runs each in the win.
Landon Hall had one of Liberty’s three hits in the loss.
Independence 10, PikeView 0 (6 innings)
Coal City – Clay Basham pitched a perfect game over six innings and struckout 10 Panthers to lead Independence to a 10-0 win at Joseph H. Goddard Field Thursday.
Basham also had a double and scored twice, while Brayden Kiblinger had two hits and drove in two runs.
Caleb Riddle added a double and an RBI for the Patriots. Zach Smith had two hits and an RBI.
Midland Trail 1, Greater Beckley Christian 0
Bo Persinger was stellar on the mound Thursday and Midland Trail scratched across an unearned run to beat Greater Beckley 1-0.
Persinger pitched a complete game scattering four hits and striking out 12 to get the win.
Cody Harrell scored the only run of the game in the first inning after hitting a lead-off double. The Trail shortstop then swiped third base and scored on an error by the third baseman for the 1-0 lead.
Summers County 14, Westside 4
Clear Fork – Summers County scored six runs in the fifth inning and never looked back, beating Westside 14-4 Thursday in Clear Fork.
Colton Jones drove in a trio of runs for the Bobcats in the win while Brandan Isaac extended his on base streak to 24 consecutive game.
Kadien Vance led Westside with two hits in the loss
