Midland Trail 61, Summers County 53
Hico – One night after knocking off Class AAA No. 5 Herbert Hoover, No. 8 Midland Trail made it two wins in as many days with a 61-53 win over Summers County.
Thad Brown scored 19 points to lead the Patriots, while Eli Campbell had 15 and Justin Cooper added 12.
Brandan Isaac had 20 points to lead all scorers for the Bobcats and Robey Brown had 11.

Bluefield – After dropping 40 points in a win Friday, M.J. Patton burned the nets for 27 points Saturday to lead Mercer Christian (11-10) to a 65-36 over Tazewell, Va. in the Lil’ Tony Memorial Classic played at the Brushfork Armory.
Patton also had six rebounds, four assists and five steals in the win.
Younger brother Eli Patton added 16 points along with four rebounds and three assists. Kyler Carpenter scored 10 points for the Cavaliers and Isaac Sharp chipped in eight points.
Matt Clifton led the Bulldogs with 13 points.
