Gardner – James Monroe excelled in all phases Friday night, picking up a 54-8 victory at PikeView to improve to 2-0.
Cooper Ridgeway scored four touchdowns and rushed for 135 yards on just eight carries while Chaz Boggs returned two punts for touchdowns. Andrew Weikle added a kickoff return for a score as well.
The Mavericks limited PikeView to 190 yards of total offense and kept the Panthers out of the end zone until the final quarter when Peyton Mounts found pay dirt on a 19-yard rush.
Mounts led the Panthers with 80 yards in the loss while Logan Cook added 43 on four carries.
