Emma Lilly pitched a two-hit shutout with eight strikeouts to lead Independence past Westside 8-0 in five innings.
Lilly also helped her own cause with a double and two RBI, while Kassidy Bradbury and Kendall Martin each had a double in the win.
Destiny Morgan and Kinley Morgan each had a hit for the Renegades.
Westside hosts Mingo Central Thursday and Independence travels to Midland Trail Friday.
Greenbrier East 11, Midlakes (NY) 0 (5 innings)
Myrtle Beach S.C. – Greenbrier East capped its tear through the Magnolia state with an 11-0 win over Midlakes (NY) in five innings Wednesday morning.
Taylor Boswell had a triple and drove in two runs, while Alanis McClary knocked in two more on three hits to pave the Spartans.
Josi Ervin pitched a one-hit shutout with eight strikeouts to get the win. Jenna Groves, Olivia Plybon and Gracie Gumm all had a double in the win.
Greenbrier East travels to St. Albans Saturday.
Capital 8, Princeton 3
Charleston – Capital scored eight unanswered runs to knock off Princeton 8-3 Wednesday.
Reagan Clendinin and Kaylee Cavendar had two RBI each for the Cougars and Nadin Davis had three hits to lead the way.
Emma Johnson knocked in two runs for the Tigers who host Bluefield Thursday.
Beckley 12, Liberty 5
Glen Daniel – Beckley hammered out 13 hits Wednesday evening, scoring the first 11 runs in a 12-5 victory at Liberty.
Natalia Meade notched three hits and drove in two runs for the Flying Eagles while Aubrey Smallwood collected four RBI.
Keandra Spurlock led Liberty with two hits in the loss.
Wyoming East 16, PikeView 8
New Richmond – Wyoming East bounced back from a 6-1 deficit to beat PikeView 16-8 in New Richmond Wednesday.
Nine different Lady Warriors collected hits in the win with Emma Simpson, Kayley Bane and Alivia Monroe driving in three runs each.
Ashley dalton led PikeView with two RBI in the loss.
