Nitro – Delaney Buckland allowed just one hit, fanning 11 as Independence picked up a 3-0 win at Nitro Tuesday.
Buckland helped her own cause with a double and a triple, driving in a run while Alli Hypes and Emma Lilly added an RBI each.
Carli Mathes took the loss for Nitro despite striking out 14 batters.
River View 10, Twin Valley, Va. 0
Pilgrims Knob, Va. – Hannah Honoksy struck out 10, blanking Twin Valley to deliver River View a 10-0 win on the road Tuesday.
Honoksy also drove in three runs at the plate while Lillie Blankenship drove in two with a 3 for 3 effort.
Greenbrier West 19, Braxton County 1
Sutton – Emma Ames drove in seven runs, swatting a home run as Greenbrier West crushed to a 19-1 at Braxton County on Tuesday.
Brooke Patterson, Maddie Fields and Preslee Treadway collected two hits each for the Cavs in the win.
Greenbrier East 7, Randolph, NY 5
Myrtle Beach – Greenbrier East picked up its second win in as many days with a 7-5 decision against Randolph in Myrtle Beach.
Gracie Gumm picked up a pair of hits and drove in a pair of runs while Lily Carola and Josi Ervin, who split duties in the circle, collected two hits each.
Ervin picked up the win with six strikeouts.
Beckley 5, Wyoming East 0
Beckley – Wyoming East’s bats struggled Tuesday evening as the Lady Warriors fell 5-0 at Beckley.
Aubrey Smallwood surrendered just five hits for Beckley, striking out 12 in the shutout effort while driving in two runs to help her own cause.
Haley Adkins led East with three hits in the loss.
